The Prague University of Economics and Business hosted the 166th Plenum Meeting of the Czech Rectors Conference

On June 2nd and 3rd 2022 the Event Center of the University of Economics and Business in Prague organized and held a Plenum meeting of the Czech Rectors Conference (CRC) and at the same time a Joint Meeting with the Slovak Rectors’ Conference (SRC). The University of Economics and Business thus welcomed thirty-seven rectors of Czech public, state and private universities and twenty-two from Slovakia. The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Petr Gazdík had a speech as a part of the program. Among the guests were also Ivan Barančík, Chairman of the National Accreditation Bureau or Martin Smolek, Deputy Minister for the Legal and Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the CRC addressed topics such as measures that will assist Czech universities helping Ukrainian students and Ukraine, current issues of Czech higher education (university financing, visa policy) and study opportunities for foreign students.
