EMOS Conference

On 26 and 27 October 2023, the ninth edition of the EMOS Workshop took place at the University of Economics in Prague.

The whole meeting was attended by representatives of EMOS label accredited Master’s programmes, statistical institutions, EMOS Council members, EMOS students and alumni, the European Central Bank and national central banks and other international organisations.

The EMOS conference is one of the most recognised events organised annually by EUROSTAT. This seminar, which has a well thought-out structure aimed at promoting effective collaboration, aims to use the richness of different perspectives to shape the future of EMOS.

Thanks to this seminar, participants gained a greater insight into the latest developments in European statistics and explored relevant activities in the field of higher education at European level. Two key themes of this conference were internships and employability of EMOS students and cooperation and cohesion in the EMOS network. As part of the programme, you could also participate in a number of panel discussions, idea sharing and other networking events

The accreditation of the “European Master in Official Statistics” was recently defended for the second time by the specialization Official Statistics, part of the study programme Economic Data Analysis (EDA-MOS). The programme is supervised by Prof. Ing. Jakub Fischer, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics, the academic director is doc. Ing. Mgr. Petr Mazouch, Ph.D.
