Music performance

Our university has thousands of students, teachers and alumni. Among them are successful sportsmen, dancers, musicians, comics and more. We hold a talent competition Talent VŠE annually to find these gifted students and colleagues. The best participants compete in a final round in Prague Lucerna during the VŠE Ball – one of the biggest balls in Europe. These artists, whose career we support, can enrich your events. Further information about each of them based on categories can be found below. We are happy to provide their contact details.

František Šalanda

I’ve studied the Faculty of Management at the Prague University of Economics and Business. With my saxophone show, that I do on a professional level, I competed in a Talent show and won second place. Moreover, I performed at the VŠE Sports day. Generally, I perform as a DJ and a saxophonist under the pseudonym SAXOFRANCIS. I have put out three songs and played for example at Croatian Beach named Zrće or in Ibiza. I graduated from musical Conservatoire and am also a Doctor of medicine.

Marika Postlerová

I‘ve graduated from the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics. I competed in the VŠE Talent show, where I finished in fourth place. Since I was young, I have always put a lot of effort into singing. I started on the classical opera and moved on to different genres of music later in age. From the age 17 and forward I have started to sing in bands of different genres (rock, pop, blues, jazz, swing, country, etc.). I perform with a Prague hard rock band called Red Baron Band, which plays authors music. Moreover, I perform covers with either the whole band, with the guitarist, or by myself with background music.

Simona Voříšková

Simona graduated from the Prague Conservatoire and has been playing the harp for almost 20 years. She and her royal music instrument, perform not only solo, but also with other fascinating musical instruments. Moreover, she hosts symphonic orchestras. Her repertoire is very rich and diverse. She not only plays classical music, but also adapted pop songs, today’s music, film music and background music. The music instrument harp is as good for solo concerts, as it is good as a background music for ceremonial occasions like for example banquets, birthdays, opening events and so many more.

Mai Nguyen

I am currently in my second year of bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Business Administration. Music has always been a part of me, doesn’t matter if I’m playing a musical instrument, singing, or just listening to music. At the beginning, in my primary education, I have sung in a choir and then moved on to do solos. Furthermore, I have performed at many different occasions like for example at a graduation party, VŠE Talent show, at weddings, parties or even smaller concerts.
