From Life at VŠE – See You in the New Year

The winter semester has ended, and students at the Prague University of Economics and Business have entered the exam period. Before diving into holiday relaxation or exam preparations, let’s reflect on the final weeks of classes.

We begin with a discussion organized by the Junior Diplomat Initiative, titled “Discussion with the French Ambassador to the Czech Republic, H.E. Stéphane Crouzat”. The Tax Club continued its activities with a workshop on the “Sugar Tax”, where students learned about the key points of the legislation introducing a tax on sugary soft drinks. Find more updates on Instagram (klubdanaru) and Facebook (Klub daňařů).

The VŠE Travelers’ Club hosted a lecture titled “To the Sun and Back: Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama”. Participants explored the legacy of Pablo Escobar and visited the point closest to the Sun on Earth. For details, visit their Facebook page (Klub cestovatelů VŠE).

The traditional Christmas Pub Quiz was hosted by the 4FIS student club, where participants tested their knowledge of holidays, traditions, and all things related to the festive season. Stay updated on their Instagram (4fisclub).

We can’t forget to mention a business conference organized bystudent club AIESEC which offered students and young professionals opportunities for networking, learning business skills, making new contacts, and meeting inspiring personalities.
