VŠE Symphony Orchestra: 2024 full of music and charity

The year 2024 was truly exceptional for the VŠE Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra not only organized a number of memorable concerts, but also actively participated in charitable activities that brought joy and help to students in developing countries in Africa.  

One of the many notable events was a concert on 9 May 2024 in the Vencovskeho Auditorium at the Prague University of Economics and Business, which was dedicated to Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4. This concert gave the audience a profound musical experience and was one of the most memorable moments of the year. 

The VŠE Symphony Orchestra helps!

In 2024, the VŠE Symphony Orchestra was also heavily involved in charitable activities. In November, it held a charity concert in support of Janack Lower Basic School in The Gambia. Admission was voluntary and all donations went to support education in developing areas of Africa. This concert was not only a musical experience but also a significant contribution to a better future for children in The Gambia. 

Another charity event was the Christmas concert, where the orchestra performed together with the Beroun choir SLAVOŠ. The event was held at the Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist in Svatý Jan pod Skalou and all proceeds from the concert were donated to the repair of monuments in the village.
