VŠE Representative Ball 2024

December 3 belonged to the long-awaited VŠE Representative Ball. This season’s theme was the movie musical Grease. The main hall of the Lucerna Palace was aglow with all the colours of dresses and shirts from the 50s.

The whole evening was opened with an introductory speech by Rector Petr Dvořák, who arrived at the VŠE Ball together with his wife. Afterwards, everyone could be enchanted by the famous melody from the musical Grease performed by the VŠE Orchestra.

In the first half of the VŠE Ball, the winners of the Student poll of Athlete of VŠE were announced. The winner was Barbora Dubská, who is professionally involved in shooting sports. The second and third place went to badminton player Lucie Krpatová and basketball player Eliška Hálová.

During the evening, the winners of this year’s VŠE Talent were also presented. The first place went to Eva Kubková, who played and sang the song “For a Little While” by Anna K. The second place went to Darina Řehková with her performance in modern gymnastics and right behind her was Vanesa Kubů with her oriental dance with silk fans. Other talents of last night were the singer Viktorie Červená, who took 4th place, and in 5th place Eliška Kosíková with her unconventional castanet´s play.

The whole evening was accompanied by Vladislav Brož’s Big Band and right at midnight, thanks to the help of the Rector, we could witness the Midnight Surprise in the style of the movie Grease, prepared by VŠE CREW.

Visitors really enjoyed a fantastic evening of music, dancing and fun, both on the dance floor and in the Lucerna Music Bar. Not only the lovers of ballroom dancing, but also those who were more looking forward to the after party. An art deco restaurant was also opened right in Lucerna, where there was an opportunity to grab a bite to eat.
