To Retirement Without Pension?

Last Thursday, a special recording of two shows of Seznam Zprávy, took place at the premises of the Prague University of Economics and Business. The entire event was held in the Vencovského aula, starting with the podcast Ptám se já, created by Marie Bastlová. The second podcast was Vlevo dole, created by two political commentators Lucie Stuchlíková and Václav Dolejší.

The theme of the entire event was the planned pension reform proposed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Marian Jurečka, who, together with the Shadow Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Aleš Juchelka, accepted an invitation to these special live editions of the podcasts. Due to the discussed topic, the show was titled – To Retirement Without Pension?

Many students and educators, not only from the Prague University of Economics and Business but also from other universities and high schools, attended the event. Access was also granted to the general public, with nearly 400 people registering for the event. We firmly believe that the interest in this event will continue to grow year by year. The debate also included individual inputs from the audience allowing them to ask the guests some questions on the given topic.

We hope that not only the audience but also the aforementioned guests who accepted the invitation enjoyed the whole event. Our university has decided to continue the collaboration with Seznam Zprávy, thus the recording of another special episode is planned for this autumn.
