Christmas Tree Lighting by the Rector of VŠE

Students and staff of the Prague University of Economics and Business in Prague experienced an absolutely magical afternoon today. They had a unique chance to taste the true Christmas atmosphere right in the atrium of the Rajská building.

The main magic of today’s event was the lighting of the Christmas tree by the Rector of the VŠE Petr Dvořák. Everyone could be part of the opening of the university Christmas and the festive end of the semester.

And what would Christmas be without a present? At this event, one big gift was also handed over, in the form of a cheque worth CZK 217,724. The money went to a good cause and was handed over to the Centre for Students with Special Needs of the Prague University of Economics and Business. This was the amount that was raised at a previous event – the VŠE Alunni Homecoming.

An incredible 500 people came to this event and everyone could even sing Christmas carols together with the VŠE choir and the Gaudeamus VŠE ensemble.
