2nd annual conference UČEKON
On Friday, 5 January 2024, the 2nd annual UČEKON conference took place at the Prague University of Economics and Business.
Before the event started, registration took place, after which the participants had the opportunity to have breakfast together and, if interested, to buy raffle tickets.
The conference itself was opened by the Rector of the Prague University of Economics and Business, Petr Dvořák, Martina Bacíková (founder of INEV) and Mirka Čejková (CMO, co-owner of Virtual Lab).
After the opening ceremony, networking and then a lot of interesting lectures on various topics awaited the participants. Guests included Eva Zamrazilová from the ČNB, who presented the current economic situation from the ČNB’s perspective, and Radek Hábl from the Institute for Debt Prevention and Resolution, who gave a lecture on the topic of foreclosures in education.
Among other things, participants could learn more about Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, which was also the subject of a panel discussion. One of the lectures was also dedicated to a very interesting topic – “Do cryptocurrencies belong in education?”.
In addition, three high school teachers were awarded the Economic Ámos prize, which was presented by Prof. Pavel Krpálek from the Department of Didactics of Economic Subjects. The award went to Petra Pitulová, Miroslava Tročilová, and Svatava Valešová.
