Birthday of VŠE

On Wednesday, April 26, the largest festival of VŠE students took place at Jarov – a long-awaited celebration of the school’s 70th birthday, which was attended by 2,350 people!

As part of the event, the traditional Faculty Battle took place, where individual faculties competed for the Rector’s Cup. Four tense duels took place between representatives of all six faculties, including a battle of strength, a competition among favorite teachers, a duel of student senators, and the election of the festival’s king and queen. Additionally, students could support their faculty by earning participation points in disciplines organized by student organizations.

Thanks to the great participation and support of all students, it was a very close competition, but there could only be one winner, and we congratulate the Faculty of Finance and Accounting for winning this year’s battle!

The DJs and great bands Čára, Drt&Fut, and Spektrum also provided a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, the rich program included performances by the winners of the VŠE Talent 2022, David Fiedler and Daniel Pastera. Diverse activities, a fashion show of new VŠE merchandise presented by the VŠE Crew, and a cake cutting ceremony led by the Rector himself were also part of the program.
