Off-Site Meeting of Student Clubs, Student Senators, and VŠE Management 2025
From 17 to 20 October 2025, an off-site meeting of student clubs, student senators, and representatives of the management of the Prague University of Economics and Business took place, with the VŠE Event Centre providing full organisational support. The meeting was held at the Tesla Horní Bradlo recreation centre and continued the tradition of regular autumn weekends focused on cooperation, experience sharing, and the development of student life at VŠE.
The opening Friday evening was dedicated mainly to updates from the Academic Senate, introductions, and informal networking among participants. Saturday morning featured inspiring lectures on building an effective team and recruiting new members. The afternoon programme focused on practical workshops, during which individual clubs worked on planning their projects and joint events for the upcoming semester – including traditional activities such as Christmas for Everyone at VŠE and VŠEfest.
A highlight of the weekend was the meeting with Rector Petr Dvořák and Vice-Rector for Development and Corporate Relations Ota Novotný. The discussion centred on current developments at the university, new projects, and the expansion of the university’s campuses in Prague and Jindřichův Hradec. Participants also learned more about the opportunities offered by student club grants and the support available for implementing their ideas. The programme concluded with a workshop organised by the VŠE Event Centre, which focused on the practical aspects of managing student events.
The off-site meeting provided a valuable space for sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, and establishing new connections between student clubs and the Academic Senate. The event proved beneficial not only for established student organisations but also for new clubs, which gained valuable inspiration and support for their further development.
The fourth edition of the off-site meeting thus became another successful step in the joint effort to build a stronger and more connected student community at VŠE. Everyone is already looking forward to its continuation next year.
